Welcome to Koonung Heights Netball Club

KHNC Logo

Koonung Heights Netball Club is a community-based club dedicated to training girls, boys, women and men to play netball.

As a member of the Boroondara Netball Association, our teams compete against other teams from the association at Macleay Park in Balwyn North. In recent years Koonung Heights Netball Club has had as many as 150 players playing each week and has several mixed teams, as the Boroondara Netball Association provides a modified mixed rules competition which incorporates players of any gender.

As a community based club we are run entirely by volunteers!

Teams

How it works.

Players are allocated to teams according to their school year level (where applicable) and the Club generally has at least two teams in each year level. Within each year level, teams are streamed according to ability.

With the exception of our junior teams (who play on Fridays after school), all other year levels play on Saturdays.

The main playing season (Winter) starts in Term 2 and runs until the end of Term 3. An additional seven-week season (Spring Fling) operates in Term 4.

Club teams are coached either by a parent, an open grade player or senior high school players. All coaches are supervised by our Coach Coordinators who are members of the general committee.
